[TemPTO] Minutes & next meeting info

Our next meeting  is Thursday, November 30th @6pm. Again, we will start with a pitch in meal. Everyone please bring a dish to pass and a friend too!  This meeting will be in conjunction with the Hoosiers Read Program. This year the IU Baseball team is coming to share some of their favorite stories with the children.  Please plan to attend. 

If child care is needed please let Mrs. Vitols know so she can plan for the appropriate ratios.  Thanks, Hope to see you then!  Jenny 

PTO minutes
November 9, 2006
Pitch In meal started at 6pm. 
Kids adjourned to gym for the Magic Show at 6:30
Attendees were asked to choose a sub committee they would like to be part of and move to the appropriate tables.   Approximately 27 people stayed for this part of the meeting. 

Sub Committees meeting were Fund-raising, communication, Social, and Needs Assessment.
Groups shared ideas and made lists for further development.   All attendees were asked to share contact information to share with their committee members. Also, names were marked for addition to the PTO e-mailing list. Several names do not have email, so hard copies will be delivered to those members via their children's classrooms. 

Meeting adjourned at end of Magic Show. PTO members assisted with making Purple Cows and Root beer floats for the group.  

Additional messages will be sent with notes from each group. By doing it this way I have left you the option of saving only the info you personally want to save rather than a mile long message with it all in one! I have edited the contact info out for now.  If you are a member of a committee and did not get the groups' contact info please let me know and I will get it to you. I do not feel comfortable broadcasting email and phone numbers for all.  


In addition, another subcommittee has formed separately. This group is working to make the children's walk to school safer. If you have input or would like to be part of this group please let me know and I will get you the contact information for this group.
